Argentina Embraces the Vision for a World Without Orphans

Argentina embraces a WWO vision

The Spirit of the Father continues to move in nations across the globe, placing the orphan and vulnerable child on the hearts of the Body of Christ - now reaching the country of Argentina, where seeds of this vision have been planted in a special way.

As part of the World Without Orphans (WWO) global team, Sergei Demidovich helped initiate Ukraine Without Orphans and networks in other Russian-speaking countries through his own adoption story. Recently, God placed it on Sergei's heart to help spread the vision of the WWO movement in Latin America.

Doors opened for Sergei to share the WWO vision at YWAM Argentina’s annual conference with more than 400 leaders, staff and students attending from across the nation and on international ministry bases.

Through support of the WWO global team, Sergei invited co-leaders of the emerging movement in neighboring country Paraguay to join him in sharing God's Heart for vulnerable children, giving practical guidance in how to become involved.

Sergei's challenge to receive in families those who are living as orphans moved the hearts of many. Anja, a legal specialist in the area of child protection and family-based care, was able to share their experience developing "Paraguay Protects Families", a collaborative platform in a South American context, challenging the national Church in Argentina to rise up in holistic response of love towards the vulnerable.

God worked in incredible ways. Seeds were planted in the hearts of those serving in YWAM ministry in Argentina and globally and connections were initiated with national leaders who sensed that this challenge is exactly what God has already been putting on their hearts, especially considering the current mobilization of the Argentinian Church in defending the lives of unborn children. Sergei was invited to share this message on Easter Sunday in the Buenas Nuevas ("Good News") Church led by Pastor Norberto Saracco, a key leader in Argentina, who affirmed the relevance and timeliness of this vision.

Prayer and support are welcome and needed, as the body of Christ in Argentina takes steps forward in this shared vision, for every child to grow up in a nurturing permanent family and to make know their Heavenly Father.
